Please Donate to Kearsing & Edwards American Legion Post 1600 Today

Kearsing & Edwards American Legion Post 1600 is a not for profit organization but donations are not tax deductible. For this reason we are often overlooked when members and the public who support our mission are planning annual charitable donations; however, our support of local veterans and their support of our local community cannot be overstated.

Please thank your local veterans today by making supporting the maintenance of the Post 1600 Meeting Hall – a central cornerstone of veteran support, gatherings, celebrations and remembrances for Rockland County located centrally in Pomona, NY.

Many neighbors in the Town of Ramapo – particularly in the Villages of Pomona and New Hempstead that wish to support the legal fund being raised to challenge the current approvals for the transformation of the Minisceongo Golf site to a high density mixed commercial and residential community without regard for its impact on the Mount Ivy Parkland hiking trail, the American Legion Meeting Hall, picnic grounds and firing range. We don’t oppose the entire development. We just want a conservation easement along the eastern border, better planning for the station road entrance and a resolution of what can be built on phase 6.
